Facemate Salamander DCIM is a powerful multi-vendor and multi-platform Data Center Infrastructure Management system.
The system retrieves data from multiple sources such as temperature sensors, SNMP devices, KNX, Access Control and other systems and combines them in such a way they produce programmable actions.
Data is processed and used to provide intelligible graphics and reports, dashboards, actions and alerts.
Multiple types of data can be combined and generate alerts by:

- start processes and applications
- change air-conditioning settings
- start an acoustic alarm
- open and close doors
- switch off not critical equipment in case of dangerous power usage

Main Features
Dashboard
Visualize important information with the multiple Dashboards and display in any screen. Consolidate sensor data in composite sensors to see average or peak temperatures our power usage.
Manage Rack Layout – Front and Rear
Place equipments with real images and Manage Power and Data connections.
Include PDU and managed PDUs and access power consumption in real time.
The system is also a useful asset manager and rack layouts can be printed or converted to pdf.
Warnings and Notifications
The Notification Engine continuously crawls data for warnings.
All data collected from all sources of information is safely stored in the database and listed or graphically displayed.
For each warning set, administrators have a many notification options, including:
email
SNMP traps
SMS
Execute an application or script
Sending commands over KNX, DALI or BacNet
Integration with other applications is also possible by SQL or XML.
Warnings are configured to notify a user or trigger an event. They include:
temperature too high
temperature variation front to rear to low or too high
door open
high power usage
door open for too long
Composite Sensors
Composite Sensors result from processing data of two or more sensors, generating composite sensor data. Possible Composite Sensors are: Temperature Average and Total SNMP Power output of two PDUs.
Reports
Accessing Reports is easy as generation of reports is automatic and can be sent immediately by email. Reports may include graphics like historic temperature charts or power usage.
Documents like reports or other outputs are stored in the server document’s archive. These documents can be listed by categories, sorted and accessed.
When viewing a report, the user can Download, create a pdf or Print.
Access Control Add-On
All Salamander DCIM packages support the Access Control Add-On adding the required features to control door opening at building / room / zone and rack level.
The Satellite SAT3.1EAC has fundamental access control features to be used in stand-alone mode, with no need for additional licences.
